HIV and Women: Common Symptoms

With HIV getting more frequent everywhere in the world, it is really important to make sure that you have as much information as possible. There are way too many women that have HIV symptoms and that don’t really know it. With these common symptoms, you will easily know if you have the possible disease, or not. Make sure that you are getting as much information about the HIV common symptoms and know what to look for in women:

Early symptoms

With HIV symptoms, there are a couple of the early symptoms that can be a warning that you might have HIV. These early symptoms are more visible with women as with men. Some of these early symptoms will include:

  • Flue like symptoms like fever,
  • runny nose,
  • headaches,
  • and lack of energy

Skin rashes and skin sores

When the early symptoms are, going away (normally after a couple of weeks) the next symptoms can be women starting to struggle with skin rashes and skin sores without any reasons.

Many of us are getting a skin rash and skin sores without any reason, and this doesn’t mean that you have HIV now. This is just one of the common symptoms of HIV, and should not be misdiagnose as HIV when you might have something else.

Swollen glands

When we have swollen glands, and not only at a certain part of the body, then you should know that there issomething seriously wrong.

Especially, if you realize that you have more than just the swollen glands, and that your symptoms are really similar to the other common HIV symptoms. If this is the case, you should go to seek medical attention right away. Swollen glands can mean that there is something seriously wrong with you and it might just be HIV.

Different types of infections

We know that there comes a time in a women’s life, where she is struggling with an infection or two. Normally these infections are cleared up within a couple of days.

However, if you realize that you are getting more and more infections in different parts of your body, then you might want to seek medical attention right away. This might not be HIV, but this is one of the most common HIV symptoms, especially with women. Getting serious infections can lead to death if this is untreated, and one of the most common causes of death by HIV people. This is why it is essential that you are going to the doctor when you are struggling with different types of infections in a short period of time.

HIV is one of the diseases that can kill you, if you don’t get treatment as soon as possible. So many people think that if they have HIV, they are going to die. But, this isn’t completely the truth. The sooner you are getting medical treatment the longer you are going to be able to fight off the HIV. And, in order to be able to see the warning signs is to know what the common are.
